If you need books or novels that depict African as well as historical romance,
your best bet is looking for the following books. Namely:
1. Serwah-The Saga of an African Princess
2. The Lost Princess
3. Fate's Promise
All written and published by Rita Akoto Coker by Afram Publishers of Ghana, West Africa.
Serwah is in its third edition and with the other, two have been recently recommended by the Ghana Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service as supplementary readers for Ghana schools.
I believe that Africans need our own historical backgrounds in our readings. These books are easy to read for relaxation and pleasure. This will help the next generation, especially those in the diaspora to learn more about their backgrounds so as not to lose touch with their ancestors.

I wrote and published 3 books for ActionAid International, Ghana: Youth Alive-A Beacon of Hope, Positive Lives in Ghana, The Tamale Women's Savings & Credit. I am a Women's Rights and Children Rights Activist and a Co-Participant of the Domestic Violence Bill which passed into law in Ghana in 2008. Just recently, three of my novels namely Serwah, The Saga of an African Princess, The Lost Princess and it's sequel Fate's Promise have been approved by the Ministry of Education in Ghana as supplementary readers fro Junior High and students above this grade.
